![]() ![]() I guess I love this DLC and hate it at the same time. Some of the balancing decisions are also questionable - like the recent removal of the usefulness of the donation machine. It's a very cheap way of artificially increasing the game's difficulty to a point in which it no longer feels fun. Some of my recent runs (even the powerful ones) ended prematurely because of these rooms. ![]() ![]() But I think that these new maze-like room layouts with lots of spikes and turrets are a step too far. I even agree with some of the most controversial nerfs, and I appreciate the balance changes to items that previously were not worth taking at all. Most of the changes that this DLC introduces are actually quite appropriate, and they make the overall experience more balanced and gratifying. I have nothing against the general increase in difficulty that Repentance offers, far from it. I may simply be unlucky, but I am encountering them far too frequently as of late, and, to be honest, I believe that such rooms should not exist in this game to begin with. Recently they've added far too many unfair, run-ending rooms with nothing but spikes and turrets (some of them both shielded and in motion) inside. ![]() But I'm kinda mixed when it comes to this DLC. In addition to that, the game features over 5 000 new room designs, as well as new chapters and an alternate path.Ĭo-op: Local cooperative multiplayer is available for 2 to 4 players.I really love Isaac, I do. In addition to that, there are also over 25 new bosses and a new final boss.Ĭhallenge: For all the Binding of Isaac fans, there are over 100 new achievements to unlock, as well as 5 new challenges. If you want to know if you’ve already discovered them all, you can consult the full list that is available online.Įnemies: Repentance also introduces over 100 new enemies. Items: The Binding of Isaac has a great amount of items - in total, there are over 700 items, over 130 of which come with Repentance. Here are some of the main features of Repentance:Ĭharacters: With all the DLC, there is a total of 34 The Binding of Isaac characters: there are two new ones that come with Repentance, ( Bethany and Jacob and Esau), and 17 other alternate “tainted” versions of the original 17 characters. ![]()
